Learn in private sessions in a UK recording studio

For nearly three decades, recording students like you have come to the UK Recording Connection Recording Academy to be placed in real recording studios, not as an intern, but as a STUDENT APPRENTICE learning music producing and sound engineering directly from the source: real music producers or audio
engineers. Acceptance into our programme is by invitation only.

If accepted, you will attend our sound academy inside the walls of a reputable recording studio taking our structured curriculum in music producing and audio engineering.

Best of all, you will learn one-on-one, and at your own pace, around your busy work week.

HOW MANY TIMES PER WEEK CAN I GO TO THE STUDIO?

The UK Recording Connection Audio Academy will start you off at two times per week at the recording studio. Following a rigorous 4-week introduction, if all of your homework has been completed, and you’ve proven yourself to your mentor and the recording studio, the UK Recording Connection can arrange for you to go up to 5 times per week.

What exactly are you teaching at this recording school?

For starters, analog recording and the most recent version of Pro Tools (digital recording), as well as other MIDI programs like Reason. Click here to see a complete outline of our curriculum.

Each week over the next six months, you will do one comprehensive lesson or “module.” Every week you will have about 15 hours of homework, done (as the word suggests) at home. Once your homework is completed, you schedule a meeting with your mentor at the studio to be privately tutored, using the studio’s equipment to reinforce what you read at home. This method allows you to learn as follows: 20% theory, 80% hands-on learning.

NO OTHER audio academy anywhere can promise the following:

  • Study in a real recording studio
  • Learn from a Music Producer or Audio Engineer with anywhere from 10-30 years of professional
  • Sit in on actual recording sessions
  • Learn from a structured course curriculum
  • Learn privately (i.e., you are the ONLY student)
  • Experience in the music industry.

Can you really get me into a real recording studio?

That we can guarantee; Yes, we will get you into a real recording studio as a student apprentice.

Now, you’ve probably heard that audio academies that use the traditional classroom model are the best way to get an audio education. But if you’re like most people, you’ve also been terribly misinformed.

But don’t take our word for it; listen to what some of the biggest names in audio engineering and music producers say. CLICK HERE to read what famous music producers say about us.

Ask yourself: Am I going to the academy recommended by recording professionals who make music with U2, Dr. Dre, Pearl Jam, Robert Plant, Bob Dylan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains, OffSpring, Eminem, Method Man, Ludacris,  Guns N Roses, Jane’s Addiction, Tupac, Pink, Led Zeppelin, Outkast, Wyclef Jean, Stevie Wonder, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, Motley Crue, Diddy, Santana, Lil Wayne, Madonna, Timbaland, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Travis Tritt, B.B. King, Lenny Kravitz, Paul McCartney, and many others?

- OR -

Am I going to a typical overpriced recording school NOT recommended by the pros?

With the UK Recording Connection Recording Academy, you will be going to go to the academy recommended by well-known industry professionals—and you’ll be learning from some of those pros, as well!

But don’t Academies get you Into Recording Studios Too?

At the UK Recording Connection, we have nothing to hide. We suggest you call up the other audio academies and ask them, “What studio will I be learning at with your programme?” Then, compare their answer to the UK recording studio we can place you in. And please note: a recording studio on a university campus is not the same as an actual recording studio where your favourite bands record.

Let’s clear up this misconception: Many audio schools do have “recording studios” on campus, and while these on-campus studios may look pretty, they are not professional recording studios. They are essentially classrooms made to simulate recording studios, and you won’t find professionals like U2, Dr. Dre, Eminem, or Beyonce recording in those places. The only people you’ll generally find in these ‘fake’ studios are students and teachers.

Don’t be fooled! The only way you to learn the ins and outs of real-life audio engineering and music producing is by apprencticing in a real recording studio. With the Recording Connection Recording Academy, that’s exactly where you’ll be learning!

You’ll also find many of these other audio schools promising to place you in a real recording studio after graduation. But please read this carefully: If you are lucky enough to get into one of these recording studios, you will be there as an INTERN, not as an APPRENTICE.

With the RECORDING CONNECTION AUDIO INSTITUTE, you are placed as an apprentice in a real recording studio, from day one—NOT as an intern. What’s the difference? Interns run errands, while apprentices receive on-on-one instruction. Our student apprentices follow a structured course curriculum under the private and direct supervision of a working industry professional. This gives you, the apprentice, the ability to learn the trade while you make the industry connections you need for success.

In this business, the saying is true: It isn’t just what you know, but who you know. That said, don’t you think that forming a relationship with a Music Producer or Audio Engineer as a student apprentice is the best way to get connections in this industry?

If you’re ready to apprentice with a professional Music Producer or Audio Engineer who can help you actually make in the music business, APPLY (for free) HERE.
